Semantic Annotations within TYPO3 CMS

This session will look into the requirements and possibilities of adding semantic annotations to TYPO3 CMS as a step towards the semantic web. The talk will be split into multiple areas: Foundations: • The RDFa Lite standard: supporting inline annotations within HTML. • What are ontologies, how can these be created automatically. Current state of annotations within TYPO3 CMS: • Extending the htmlArea RTE for editing annotations. • Ways to automatically annotate content elements (text and images). • Building a knowledge base for a concrete website. External use of annotations or why we want annotations: • Controlling and improving your search results. • Supporting semantic search within TYPO3 CMS. • Facilitating content analysis. • Further uses of annotations.
